James T. Phillips, 31, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed at peace onto his heavenly home on Saturday, September 25, 2021 - on his 31st birthday, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Willingboro, NJ, Jimmy grew up in neighboring Springfield, NJ; he came into this world with a bright smile and pure heart. He had a kind and goofy disposition that would immediately put all those around him, at ease; however he would be the first to challenge your reasoning with undeniable logic. He had plentiful enthusiasm for staying active during his youth � from soccer to wake boarding, skiing to riding quads � he was undoubtedly competitive by nature. Much of this led to the formation of lifelong friendships. Since he was young, Jimmy knew he wanted to give back to those around him and ultimately pursued this as a life mission; first through inspiring students, as a teacher, to follow their interests in mathematics and later serving women who have been impacted by domestic violence through a non-profit organization in Jacksonville Fl, as a Director of Finance. The contributions he made and the lives he impacted have created a light within many that will burn for eternity. He was not only exemplary out in the community but also at home; he's greatest purpose in life was to be a loving husband and great father - his family came first, without exemption. He is survived by his loving wife, Sidney (nee Blandon) Phillips; one son David Phillips (2), and one daughter Isabella Phillips (11 months); his parents, Robert Phillips and Nancy Kolb; three sisters and one brother, Alicia Phillips, Ashlyn Phillips, Kimberly Phillips and Matthew Phillips as well as his stepmother, Carina Phillips. There are those who believe it is explained that on the date of your birth you are entrusted with a mission. Only the righteous person who lives his life achieving his fullest potential and completes his mission on earth in the most perfect way possible will return to the lord on the very same day the mission started. Jimmy had a clear mission from GOD, which he fulfilled through living a life of selfless giving and sacrificing himself so that others would grow to make the same positive impact in the world. This brought his soul joy and he shall be rewarded in the Kingdom. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at 5 Points Chapel; 702 Margaret Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204. Friends and Family are invited to visit from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a celebration of life. Guests are asked to wear face masks for the safety of all attendees. After the memorial service, a repass will be held outdoors in the Chapel Courtyard where all social distancing requirements will be respected. 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
