Ophelia Dell Miller

Ophelia Dell Miller was born all natural in Jacksonville, Florida on November 17th, 2022, to Julia Sedgley and Trenton Miller at 1:08 AM. We knew she was a special young lady when she positioned herself sunny-side up so she could look out onto the world from inside of her loving mother and keep close watch over her loved ones that were eagerly waiting to meet her. She wasted no time making her entry as she seemingly ejected out of the birth canal en caul. Her first name, Ophelia, was given to her when her father picked it out of the list of female names her mother was interested in, when he learned the name derived from the Greek word for healer, aid, or benefit. She did just that while she was on this earth, her quiet nature healed those that were fortunate enough to spend any time around her during the brief six weeks she blessed this world. She offered a serene aura that felt otherworldly just to be lucky enough to be around. Her middle name is a familial reminder of serenity and peace, as it was Trenton's Great Grandmother's middle name; a woman that offered sanctuary and peace to those in need. She was the baby sister to an extremely caring and thoughtful older sister, Charlotte Royal. Ophelia loved spending time being held by any soul lucky enough to do so, especially her Charlie and her Mama. When she wasn't being held by her big sissie or her Mama she was usually curled around her tetraplegic father's neck. Ophelia thoroughly enjoyed being loved on and would lean into affection, some of her favorites to lean into were her Grandmama and her Lolli. Ophelia was also lucky enough to have spent time with her Pops, Pap, Pa, Anma, Grammie, Papa, and Grandma Judy. Not all children are fortunate enough to have gotten to spend time with so many generations full of love for them. The mark she left on this world will never be forgotten and we are all so incredibly blessed to have been given the opportunity to know and love her. She passed peacefully in her sleep laid between the two people that loved her most, sometime between two and eight A.M. January 1, 2023. Her family remains committed to sharing her story and spreading the same love and serenity she offered this world while she was here. We ask that you hold your little ones tight and treasure every moment you're allotted with them.
