Terry Irl Shepherd

September 19, 1956 - April 23, 2022

Terry Irl Shepherd was born on September 19, 1956, in Live Oak, Florida. He passed away April 23, 2022, in Jacksonville, Florida. Terry was a dedicated man. Honest and fair. He always went out of his way to help others; even when he didn't have to. Terry was very easy to talk to and always interested in you and your family. In June, he would have celebrated his 38th year as a Critter Gitter at Peninsular Pest Control Service. During his tenure at Peninsular, he wore many hats and oversaw most of the company's responsibilities serving as Vice-President of Operations. Terry truly was the "Ultimate Company Man", providing support when and wherever needed. He was well respected by his co-workers, who enjoyed working alongside and considered him an awesome person and good friend. The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Terry. He loved his family, baseball, golf, football, his devoted dog, Bear, and O'Steen's delicious fried shrimp. He was an honorable man and will truly be missed. Terry is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Shepherd; his son, Lee Shepherd; three grandchildren: Hannah Leigh Shepherd, Maggie Renee Shepherd, and Keller Ellison Shepherd; daughter-in-law, Staci Shepherd Mordujovich; and his brother, Foster Shepherd, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Terry's memory to the charity of your choice. The family welcomes you to attend his memorial service this Saturday, April 30th at 2:00p.m. at Ortega United Methodist Church, 4807 Roosevelt Blvd., in Jacksonville.
