Frederick Lenoir

After a long brave and courageous battle with cancer, our beloved Frederick James Lenoir (Corley) received his wings and was called home in his Jacksonville, FL residence on the early morning of Friday October 27th, 2023, in the comforting company of his loving wife and children. Fred left this place knowing beyond a doubt he will always be loved and deeply missed. His Celebration of Life Services will be at the following: Our Lady of Good Council in St Augustine, FL on Thursday November 16th at 9:00 am with Father Guy as Celebrant. Community Church of Union Pier in Union Pier, MI on Saturday November 25th at 2:00 pm Michigan time with Rev. Mc Gee as Celebrant. Fred was born on August 16th, 1971, in Michigan City, IN and known to family by "Freddie J" from his Aunt Jackie. He attended New Buffalo H.S. where he excelled in Basketball and Football and was known to most as a "Gentle Giant" and an amazing friend to so many. After High School he started his long-time career in Truck Driving where he met more great people that he was grateful to call friends. He was proceeded in death by: Father Percy Corley; Sisters Lil Jackie Lenoir, Sonya Lenoir; Grandparents Mary and Roosevelt Gardner; Aunt Jackie Atwater; Uncle Henry Campbell; In-Laws Gordon and Mary Kay Young; Brother-in-Laws Steve Farmer and Kenville George He is survived by: His wife, Cathy Lenoir, together for 30 years and married for 16 of those years. Daughter Courtney and wife LeAnna Lenoir; Son Justin Lenoir; Mother Barbara Lenoir; Dad JW Lenoir; Sisters Mary Lewis, Sandra Lenoir, Carol and Marshall Cowan, Marlene Campbell, Regina George, Melody Farmer, Vanessa Corley; Brothers Tim and Lynette Kelly, Kenny and Zella Garron, Roy and Candice Atwater, Lamont Hurt; Sister-in-law Kelly Young; Brother-in-law Jeff and Julie Young; Aunts Teresa McMillan, Diane Peterson, Arlene and Craig Stevenson, Rosada Gardner; Uncles Peter Campbell, Kevin Donaldson, George Gardner, Angelo and Jerri Gardener; a host of Nieces; Nephews; Cousins and Friends. Those who knew and loved my husband would characterize him as honest, caring and giving. To all that loved him I would hope in respect to Fred we would all shine our own light on those characteristics.
